So, I learned this weekend that my mother decided not to bother getting Cable TV service... (long before I returned back to Seattle)
So... I'm looking at getting Netflix (mostly cuz I'm too lazy to walk/drive the 1.2 mile to the closest redbox machine)...
So I'm just thinking... Netflix or just get Hulu Plus...
Suggestions? lol

I have both. I probably watch Netflix more than Hulu but not by much. I don't have cable TV, just a roku player. Hulu is great for new episodes of shows but I probably only watch maybe 7 different shows total. And some don't have new seasons for a while so it's not incredibly useful
I will probably cancel Hulu very soon. Netflix > Hulu IMO
Never used Amazon Streaming before but from what I've seen it is like Netflix but not as good, yet
Also hulu movies blow donkey balls

Heh, I'm actually considering buying the Roku 2 XD tomorrow from Best Buy since I have a $15 gift certificate I can burn so it'll only cost me $65 + tax. And I do have a 1080p TV that's sitting there not being used so...
My mom likes to watch Hulu. Me = eh... not always...
I'll think about it...

Read their websites for sub info. If they have none I wouldn't blame you for peg legging it. For yarrrrring with a parrot on your shoulder. For slapping on an eye patch to enhance your viewing experience. Sharing a bottle of rum with Captain Jack Sparrow if you get my drift. (watching a Pirates of the Caribbean Marathon since it's mostly action, duh)

lol, Varece - Nope!
Not if we'll be moving in a couple months...
And Briton - Yea, Roku does support captions as long it's Roku 2 or higher. The original hardware won't. *shrug*
And Varece - it'll just be easier and cheaper for us to just get a Roku 2 thingy since we don't watch TV that much and just use Hulu when we miss shows. This way, we can use the TV, after all, we paid what? $800 for the TV, lol
