If only we had one... when they designed the housing here they forgot about the whole tornado thing and not only didnt give us a cellar/ basement but also didnt give us any rooms without windows.
Oh no, i tell a lie. We do have a windowless room. The laundry room. Where all the gas piping for the heating/ air con system is, so basically not where you want to be if stuff is hitting the fan.
EDIT: But it's a nice house in a nice neighbourhood so its all good

arent you in north dakota or something?
tornadoes wasnt a regular event that far north until like the last decade.
20 years ago tornado alley was mainly across the south and lower midwest.

the current crop of NOAA weather radios have a running silent but OMG THERES SOMETHIGN ABOUT TO HAPPEN mode - which starts screeching when the area alert system goes into effect
