you should ask them to give you oxy. i've never had a surgeon refuse to bump my pain meds up from vicodin because it doesn't do diddly for me.

I don't think they put any packing in. They just had to open up my broken sinus to make sure it was draining right and nothing was trapped against my brain or something. I do have to go back for debridement, though. Not looking forward to it.
Ah, had polyps myself long ago. sucked

Its managing the pain fine, just not giving me any kind of high. Honestly with my history I prefer the weaker stuff as long as it works.
And Aon, I'm lucky enough to still have insurance through my parents. I don't even want to know what several cat scans, a few x rays, two specialist visits, a night in the ER, and surgery would cost without it.

I'm probably going to get my deviated septum fixed sometime this year or next...been putting it off because I want to get a job and not have to have a screwed up face for a few days...but it's been like 6 months and I'm still using that excuse
it's something I really should get done, but gd it, I just don't wanna!

Get better Faromir.
Did you ever go back and try to re-trace your way home that night? File a report?
Maybe talk to any business owners that might have security cams that are on your usual way home?
Either way...yeesh, take care. You do a good thing providing for the homeless.

a few says of discomfort are worth the relief after. after i had mine done i didn't have any swelling, and just a minor amount of pain that was gone within 3 days. after everything healed up, i could breathe MUCH better thru my nose, and no more sinus headaches. i never realized how screwed up my nose was until after i had the problems fixed.
and faromir- i feel your pain about the 'stache man. if you can deal with the bloody snot draining into it, you are a tougher man than me.
