He kind of is that type of figure though. One of the greatest democrats ever, ran up enormous deficits, expanded government ten fold, increased taxes on just about everything. His greatest trick was convincing the GOP he was a Republican, and making them love him regardless of his policies.

Yeah, same way Mitt has convinced the GOP he is a Republican.
