Two foolproof was of removing ticks:
1) Use a lighter to heat up the head of a nail. Place heated head of nail on the ass end of the tick. Tick WILL let go without breaking off the head.
2) Liberally apply petroleum jelly all over the tick. Tick begins to suffocate and lets go without breaking off the head.
