odd, you must have punctured a vein or something, when I stepped on a nail as a kid, it hardly bled at all.
I'll never forget having to reach down, hold onto my shoe, and pull my foot off the nail with my hands though.

I stepped on a nail as a kid too. My instant reaction somehow probably pulled the shoe up and my foot out of my shoe. Bled quite a bit.
This wasn't nearly as deep. But I did get to yank it out. Foot hurts this morning.
