I feel so sorry for anyone who makes this statement to high schoolers and/or college students. My life has gotten progressively better and continues to do something years after college.
College was 'all the fun of being an adult with a fraction of the responsibilities'. I miss that; however, I do not miss being poor.

WTF?!?! Arial? HELVETICA?!?!?! There might be a slim case for Arial for headers, but there is NEVER a good time to use Helvetica on a web page. Well, maybe if you have more than a healthily passive hate for Mac users...
This is pretty much the only instruction you'll ever use IRL:
font: (size) verdana, sans-serif;
And the only reason for the "sans-serif" is so the validators don't whine about not ending with a generic font. Verdana all the way, bay-bee.
