I grew up living next to Terry Steinbach. He was a baseball player for the A's and the Twins. He was a dork, so I kicked him in the shin when I was 5.

Forgot a couple:

I grew up with this dude, Jimmy Franks and was his senior patrol leader in Boy Scouts. Every time I see this video I see Jimmy at age 12 - same goofy ass expressions and spastic dancing around.


John Smiley went to my high school, graduated a few years ahead of me. His dad was my pitching coach while John was coming up through the minors. He used to show up to our basketball practices now and then and scrimmage around with us for the hell of it.

Yup, i met and became friends with a girl through her blog and she has a wiki page.

I knew the guitarist who played for Jimmy Hendrix who is named on Hendrix's page...but he doesn't have his own.

also know the trumpet player that played for Isaac Hayes, also not his own page though. He also helped write the Shaft movie song.

probably a few other musicians with similar status/resumes...none of them really famous in their own rights, but played with some very famous people. The church I grew up in had the trumpet player and another guitarist (who played with some pretty famous people) as part of the band for a long time...Which is how I knew them.

so no I guess, but I know a few people who are on some wiki pages.
