78 or 80? Don't think I'll hit 80 on my priest by Tuesday, just curious.

At what level can you do quests for the new Cata zones?

78 for the two starter zones, Hyjal and Vashj'ir. 82 for Deepholm, 83 for Uldum, 84(?) for Twilight Highlands.

According to WoWhead only 8 quests in Hyjal are available at 78, rest are 80, and not a single one in Vashj'ir is under 80, so not sure where you guys are getting the level 78 number.

Aye I saw that too this morning, Talehon. Wondering if wowhead is just off or something, but hoping the two other posters are right.

I've also heard people say (absolutely no idea how true it is) that the new zones will simply be difficult for someone who isn't 80.

The first few mobs in both zones have something around 35k health, be pretty rough on a 78, though 2 levels won't make much of a difference in gear level without doing heroics etc, so guess we'll see what happens.
