Can someone removed the background from this banner?

Cannot seem to find the exact color of the background on a test site I am working on so need to know if the blackish background can be removed from the pic so i can mount the pic on a site and the backgrounds dont clash.
If anyone could assist i would be very appreciative.

Probably easier to find that font and just make a new one.

it has been so long I cannot find the font anymore and I am not totally sure where I got it from 
That is why I was hoping someone had skills enough to somehow remove that BG from the banner.

I'm looking for one similar to it at least. I have a gazillion fonts but no font browsing software. =/

check dafont Though I believe I tried to look for this font before when he made a request for his website and couldn't find it. That will be really hard to remove the background on. :/

Might be too late for this? What format do you want it in? a JPG wont support transparency, but a GIF might, and Photoshop image will. So, I will include a modified JPG, GIF, and PSD in this zip for you (I think the GIF is ok).
