i am not a fan of sushi ... but this is what my daughter likes
plain rice wrapped in seaweed
sprinkle some sesame seeds in it before rolling it
dipped in kikokkoman soy sauce

Stuff I like in my sushi:
Yellowtail
Salmon (raw or smoked)
Shrimp (cooked)
Crab (prefer cooked lump crab)
avocado
cucumber
carrot
tempura flakes (great crunch)
Roll them in sesame seeds or coat with some kind of roe. I much prefer the rice on the outside of the nori.

Aww, look at Lynnie 
We haven't tried making our own. My favorites are: Dynamite, California, Philly, Kappa (cucumber), and Yam Tempura.
