I put the skillet in the oven and let it heat up to 425, then I put a tablespoon of oil in the skillet and swirled it around.
Needed to be very careful putting the crust in, but I didn't burn myself.
Used an excellent goat Gouda I found, it's firm, milk white, and nutty/creamy. I love it.
The pie didn't stick. Needed to rub a spatula around the bottom and it popped right out.
The crust was excellent, crunchy on the bottom.

i have never considered using my skillet for that.
it makes an awesome pineapple upside down cake tho

kind of like those pans pizza hut uses for their pan pizza
