more villainy by our terrible president and terrible congress. when a democrat president has no interest in looking out for the individual over big corporations, it's all over. ler's see how much more things erode over the next 4 years.

This year is certainly a low point, but it's just the extension of a trend going on ten years at least.

Try 100 years.

Elected branches of government have always represented the interest of copyright and patent holders over users because the former group funds them.

It's always been up to the Courts to figure out what the balance should really be. Elected branches are catagorically incapable of getting it right because of the obvious financial disparities involved.

The “lone wolf” measure allows FISA court warrants for the electronic monitoring of a person for any reason — even without showing that the suspect is an agent of a foreign power or a terrorist. The government has said it has never invoked that provision, but the Obama administration said it wanted to retain the authority to do so.

This country and it's constitution are founded on the idea that property rights are more important than individual ones.

I thought all you super-geniuses knew that already?

Joe Biden is behind all of this. He had been a major RIAA and MPAA puppet his entire political career and he has stocked the Department of Justice completely with former RIAA and MPAA lawyers

Of course earlier this year one of them was put in as Solicitor General as well

Funny how the people who want to put all the power into the hands of government are the same ones whining about what the government does with the power. It is peace of mind to be a liberal. You never have to think.

There are three kind of liberals;
Stupid, ignorant or evil
The result is always evil but the intent is not always evil. Not that it makes much difference in the long run.

i am a liberal.
i dont think the government should have any power over my day to day life.

i think the people who own the intellectual property rights should be the people whos intellectual property it actually is. there shouldnt be a company getting rich off claiming intellectual property rights to others peoples stuff. its kind of hypocrisy.

but on the same note, there shouldnt be a public consumer base whos entirely void of original thought and ability to make there own choices without american idle to tell them what to buy.
