For those that don't know Kokesh, he is an Iraq war vet, has had radio and TV shows and advocates a libertarian world view. Here is Adam at Council Bluffs Iowa on 1/1/12 attempting to ask Gov Romney a few simple questions related to the constitution.

At 3:50 into the video his first question to Romney was "How important is the constitution to your platform?"
Quote:

Romney's response (something mumbled) "...it is the blueprint of the nation."

At 4:48 into it Adam attempts to ask "Gov, if the constitution is so important, will you repeal the Patriot Act and the military detention provision of the NDAA?"
Quote:

Romney's response: silence.

Adam at 4:55 gets to ask that same question again while inside the venue and again Romney is silent.

Then the rest of the video is of Adam and others waiting on Romney to make an exit from the venue in the attempt to ask more questions or whatever. Adam does get an opportunity to ask Romney for a response at 9:20 which Romney again ignores while getting into his vehicle.

So, any of you who support the constitution and gov Romney have something to reflect on.

He's a former marine who's seen enough.

Douchey yes but he had pretty solid coverage of the OWS movement and wasn't really a fan of their message.

Perhaps Mr. Kokesh should look to himself about the Constitution before he casts stones.

The President elected in 2012 can't actually do a damn thing about either thing Constitutionally.

The legislative branch casts a law to repeal. Now yes the President then must sign it but even if he vetos the legislative branch can override (which it could in the case of the latest case).

The judicial branch can throw out all or part of either as Unconstitutional.

The executive branch doesn't repeal anything.

Mr. Kokesh and every American who is "outraged" should be asking their potential Congressperson or Senate candidate about whether they care about the Constitution. They have almost all of the power in both of those situations.

Yes, that's the entire point...

Man I can't believe none of us thought to look at this from such an enlightened point of view.

You are truly amazing.

@Bowlartz

None of that prevents the president from using his very powerful political platform to call for legislation of change.
