Don't leave yourself a safety net when pursuing your dream.
I agreed 100% with this at the time, but I still took the logical road and made sure I had options. This allowed me to follow those options instead of what I really wanted to do.

Well the best advice I got from various sources was:
Dont be afraid to ask for help
It matters more what you think of yourself than what other people think of you.
Wonder what the future will hold

Money wont make you happy.
The fact that it was followed by, "Nothing will ever make you happy" sorta spoiled the advice however.
