I just started playing this. It's ok so far (I'm doing the PvE to learn the game mechanics).
Anyone else here mess with it any?
FWIW Character info:
Toon name: Darkom
Toon Mentor: Superman
Tree: Fire
Weapon: Martial Arts
Ability: Acrobatics
I didn't want to do flight because I figure EVERYONE will do that. I also thought that Martial Arts would go well with the who acrobatics schtick.
I'm only like level 5 atm.

I like it thus far. As to the cash shop there is one but I don't see that as a major problem (remember I've only played a bit)

I beta' the game. The fact it was developed for the PS3 ruined the controls and the amount of abilities you can use. The PVP was fun though. The PVP server was full of carebears who didn't pay attention to theirAOEs, I would flag myself and wait for them to attack mobs.
SOE fixed it after a 20+ page thread.

I tried it like two months ago, I couldn't get into it. Not saying it is bad, it just didn't grab me in any way.
