Obama To Propose Insourcing Tax Incentives

President Barack Obama plans to include tax incentives in his fiscal 2013 budget to encourage more U.S.-based multinational companies to relocate jobs from foreign countries back home.

Right now, we’re at a unique moment, an inflection point, a period where we’ve got the opportunity for those jobs to come back,” said Obama. “And the business leaders in this room, they’re ahead of the curve, they recognize it. I’ll give you just a few examples. After shedding jobs for more than a decade, American manufacturers have now added jobs for two years in a row.

HE should first make taxation of foreign production and domestic on the same footing then subsidize domestic production. In fact he should subsidize domestic labor specifically.

Is it already time to start using that line for everything he does? The election is 10 months away, only 2 states have voted in the primaries, and he's in office another year. It's going to be his job no matter what to sign the 2013 budget. This is political hackery at it's best.


I'll hold judgement on the policy until he reveals more and the details are let out but on the surface this seems like a great thing.
