Obama and crew could have pushed through SOPA in 2009, but there's no way they will let it stand in an election year. It will get shot down and probably revived under a new name in 2013. Unless Ron Paul wins that is.

Obama was behind SOPA for one reason only... the people who paid for his campaign told him to be behind it.
The only thing he cares about more than campaign money is the votes that campaign money buys. He will be against SOPA now because he knows that is what will get him the most votes.
One thing that never factored into the equation for him... his belief in what was right and wrong. He doesn't give a crap about that and never did.
