been posted before, but still awesome.
spidersilk is stronger then steel!  makes awesome bullet proof material and is all natural!

Just creepy is all.. I wonder what implications there can be down the road for experiments like this and where do we draw the line..

They recently finally got a successful silk worm/spider silk combo to work.
The silk worms spin their silk like usual, but the spider gene grafted into them results in silk that is more than 1000 times stronger than usual. You could use it to make a bulletproof tshirt or utilize it in a fiberglass like product that would create material stronger than titanium.
Those guys are gonna get rich as hell.

Like it or not, our ancestors ate meat. Humans have always eaten meat. Please stop resisting.
P.S. genetic experiments on animals for our purposes is totally legitimate use of animals considering how they cannot stop us. We are superior.

This is nothing compared to the some of interesting genetic experiments being done. These breakthroughs will be coming faster as more of these DNA strands get tagged and coded so they can be synthetically rebuilt.

Nowhere, evolution is to slow and random. Humanity has been tinkering with other spicies of plants and animals for thousands of years, only reason you can survive on your hippie diet is because humans cultivated plants to produce more.
This is just a natural step, we manipulate genes to produce what we need. I'm all for genetic alteration on humans too, imagine if we could just alter humans so that everyone has a higher IQ does not become sick etc etc.
