Does the ebb and flow of the tide resemble the movement of the sun and moon?
Now, I would like to make a leap to our senses.
Do our sense perceptions resemble the phenomena they perceive?

Hardly. Outside of the very basic patterns they were evolved to detect our senses fail miserably to capture the phenomena they perceive.
