Not having a gaming computer sucks.

I sent mine to get replaced since it was still on warranty and two things were wrong with it, the guy is sending me a new one.
It'll take a week or so to get here, though.. Until then I have a meh laptop to game on
Lappy has 4 gig of ram and a 1 gig video card, its a 2.16 ghz i think..
but it stll runs games like shit. I tried playing APB which runs at 62 FPS.. on the laptop it runs at 28-32
F that noise.

Many of the best games for the PC require a beast of a computer to run properly anymore.
I've got a quad core w/8g of RAM and Skyrim won't run in anything other than the lowest setting. I'm sure I need a high end graphics card but still...

Just use this week to play different games. Civ IV would run fine on that and a good game of that can easily take all your gaming time for a week

I re installed starcraft 2, and I was thinking of giving shogun 2 another run.
I have civ V on my external drive, but I never really played. Might try it

They ruined APB today, I might never play again.
The new patch makes threat level universal across your account so my level 10 criminal is gold threat. It also tries to force all of the gold threat people in to one district and penalizes you if you leave that district. I played with 5 blatant cheaters in a row this morning then quit.

Bummer, if/when my gaming rig goes down I will be in bad shape as I don't have a spare beyond my 2001 Dell running Ubuntu. Then again, I have other fun stuff to do irl when that happens.

Until recently, all I had was my ipad. It's nice for playing casual games of the armorgames.com variety but there are no serious games for it. Which is insane considering that it could easily handle a good turn-based strategy or 4X game.
