People skip all the steroid and HGH injection crap and move right on to manufacturing athletes by messing with the pituitary glands of kids and/or infants?

I'd imagine it's being attempted now, somewhere.
Steroids and hgh work. In the case of the former, beating tests is cake-work. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As soon as its possible. They will then have to do genetic testing on the athletes and only say non genetically enhanced humans can compete. Eventually genetic enhancement will be done on everyone and humanity itself will control its own evolution

Not long.
Athletes will be using prosthetics too. When the pitcher with the mechanical arm wins 2 Cy Youngs in a row....and amateurs start getting their shoulders rebuilt with metal and plastic....we will wonder what the big deal was with taking a few pills.
