I don't really get the fascination here. If you're talented and do something for over a year or so you'll be good at it, no matter if you're 5 or 25. You think you need 10 years to learn to play an instrument? Maybe if you suck.

You've obviously never gone to a middle school orchestra or band concert.
Most of those players are adequate at best, which is to be expected.
A much smaller percentage has a true talent the instrument and have parents willing to help them develop it.

The kid is a prodegy. She wants to play in a rock band in the future. She is really good! Her mom was so proud! What a wonderful gift she was given
The world needs more women rockers!

Kids playing guitar are a dime a dozen now. I have seen so many of youtube it has lost all amazement.
