I'm just not sure that would be the case.
I do think that the Republicans are definitely hawks. The democrats are probably reluctant hawks. Perhaps the democrats will do the same thing and then say they are sorry. The republicans will unapologetic and proud to send the US into war again

I think the war will start before the election, but if it doesn't... I think a vote for Obama or Romney is a vote for war with Iran. Newt vote (a bit smarter and more tactical) prolly in the neighborhood of about 80-90% likely...

Not even remotely true. The only operative difference between the two establishment parties is what tickles their fancy for what to spend money on. Other than that they are both completely enamored of geopolitical war, ***king with the economy and controlling your personal life. To think otherwise demonstrates a lack of historical research or a memory hole.

Once again it will all come down to Iran's reaction to the inevitable strike by Israel, it probably won't matter who wins the election. Many people fail to understand exactly how powerful the Israel lobby is in America, we will back up Israel no matter who is in office.

We are, I believe, going to execute another 'police action' with its stated goals of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and preserving the international integrity [read oil transport channels] of the gulf. If Israel strikes we will provide air support and materials to them, I'm not sure if it will go so far as boots on the ground.
