They let two pedophiles slip through the cracks for years, one of them had been allowed by staff to takes kids out of other classes to come back to his classroom alone with him to "help him out". They have decided to replace the entire staff, from janitors to administrators. Now I'm not a high priced school district administrator but I would do that by sending staff in from around the district and replacing them with the staff they are transferring out but LAUSD is replacing them by rehiring a new staff from those laid off and keeping the old staff on salary until a new school is open and they will staff it. They are also going to have a psychiatric counselor in each classroom, I know kids are counseling but I think a counselor in each room might be overkill. It is like now that the district knows they screwed up they are throwing money around to try and make people think they are on top of things.

I also can't believe that one teacher was allowed to retire six months into his "immediate" firing process and now it looks like the other will do the same. Be careful of the teachers you leave your kids with, looks like they could be as bad as priests.

I read about that. What that guy was doing was seriously twisted. How he got away with it even once for one day is very hard to comprehend.

I hope we have a hole deep and dark enough for that douchebag.

As horrible as this case is, I think that reassigning the entire school staff is too disruptive and destructive to the students. Kids need stability and this will make a mess of their education for the year.

At least nobody will be sticking spoons of spooge under their noses.

The parents are demanding cameras in the classrooms and they will probably get them. I think the staff had to go because the comment that most parents were making is why didn't someone notice something, or maybe they did and didn't say anything.

I sell security video and camera systems through a distributor that has the LAUSD contract. This could be freaking HUGE! I could score a massive bonus this year. I'm going to call my distributor partner first thing AM and have them set up a meeting with LAUSD. HOLY CRAP!

One of the kids dropped the complaint on the second teacher. I wondered about that......it seemed a little too far fetched that a week later some other teacher would be accused of fondling. It'll be interesting to see of the second girl recants.

Not that it will save his doomed ass, innocent or not.

They found another, a 50 year old teachers aid wrote a love letter to an 11 year old student, either this school was a dumping ground or pedophiles are more common in the schools than anyone thought.
