When I was at my caucus I met an older lady who liked Ron Paul a lot except on his foreign policy. I believe she was afraid Iran was going to invade us or something. I wanted to tell her that I have lived in impovershed areas and have seen massive amounts of crime first hand and that if you fear for your safety then you should be most scared of a destroyed economy where people are getting robbed, cars getting broken into, car jackings, burglaries and other fun stuff. But I didn't say anything because I have given up on trying to convince people to vote for Ron Paul.

Nope. There is no way they can destroy America. I'm more afraid of the US government taking our freedoms

It's already happened and continues to ratchet up by the month. I hope I live to see a great many politicians and their cohorts put on trail for their assaults against the founding principles and document of this nation.

I guess I just don't understand why they are so afraid of foreign enemies when there will be a massive increase of local crime inc.

Anyone else see that they are making laws against playing frisbee or football in CA beaches?

Yes and a thousand dollar fine speaks volumes for the mental state of that areas politicians and bureaucrats. You may as well be a serf living on the kings land subject to his whim for all the difference it makes.

'Local crime' has been on a steady 20 year decline.

Interestingly the crime reductions seem to correlate with dreaded government regulations that reduced lead exposure (but surely marched us 10 steps closer to pure socialism).

Im guessing that Ron Paul would have been dead set against the legislation that seems to have brought about the huge fall in crime. I think he's still actively trying to overturn this legislation. Why does Ron Paul want my grandma to get robbed?
