Earlier today Bernard Lagat broke Galen Rupp's American record in the indoor 5000 meter race at the Millrose games. Then about 20 minutes later Galen Rupp broke Bernard Lagat's American record in the 2 mile race at USA Track and Field Classic in Fayetteville Arkansas.
These are good times for USA distance running. We've got the best crop of runners that we've had in decades.

This is the best crop of American distance runners in decades. Expect to see some Americans on the podiums in London this summer.

What coctail of doping are US athletes using these days?

Galen Rupp sleeps in a chamber that slightly lowers the oxygen level. He's been doing that since he was in high school. His body is now completely accustomed to operating with lower levels of oxygen than the rest of humanity.

I expect those chambers to be outlawed eventually. They definitely give the user an advantage of someone who doesn't use them.
