I have a Creative branded one, it's perfectly ok for gaming at the price point I got it (~$30), detachable mike too.
Mind you the Sennheiser that I used to have had better sound/speakers, by my ex's dog chewed that one up. =/

Go with Sennheiser. Good sound quality and very durable. Their gaming headsets start at around $100.
