Everyone loses in a nuclear war. I really do believe it could be enough to tip the world into another period of glaciation

i think whatever is causing our warming trend would fend off the glaciers for the most part

Of course they do; it is the main focus of their naval buildup. They are the real ways to control the seas these days, and they aren't currently up to the task of competing in the aircraft carrier department verses the US. The main purpose of battleships and carriers these days is for attacking ground targets, not attacking other naval assets.

If their subs are anything like their fighter jets (fake - show footage from top gun movie) or their aircraft carriers (bought from 50 yr old russian navy scraps) then their submarines would be hopeless compared to our technology.
