I would not have even gotten out of my car for that TBH. It was barely a love tap.
Call the police and tell them it was a hit and run

You don't need a dash cam. One pic from your phone with reverse lights on will do the trick.

No reverse lights. They were on a slope and he just coasted back into him.
Also, when someone is about to hit you, the last thing you are going to think about is pulling out your phone and hitting the buttons necessary to switch to camera mode and take a picture.
Even if you did try to do that, you'd never do it in time. That is why the always-on video camera is handy.

I wouldnt mnd a dash cam that also kept info about my speed and location.
It would make it easier to fight a ticket when you know the cop is wrong.

Looked like reverse lights to me. Which would lead me to grab the cam and snap. Take about 2 seconds and includes your speedometer at zero.
