	So far I've replaced the water pump ($75 for the pump, ~$250 labor cost saved), the heater core ($70 for core, ~$1200 labor cost saved - it's a 15-hour job at least) and all four sets of pads & rotors ($210 for parts, ~$250 labor cost saved). All it cost me besides the $400 or so for parts & a couple oddball wrenches (f'king GM) was some time and sweat (and knuckle blood). 	It is definitely worth learning to do simple jobs. You can pick up the official service manual for $40-$50 and it shows exactly what you have to do for each repair along with detailed pictures. I do almost all of my own work on my cars except for the transmission. Not only saves money, but gives great satisfaction!

	I wouldn't even attempt it with the wagon. Everything is so crammed in with the new cars, you have to pull the engine out to change a spark plug ffs. Plus it's warrantied for another 4 years LOL. 	You need to have an electronics and computer engineering degree as well to work on a lot of new cars.
