I always thought it was funny that Spidey could get thrown through a brick wall but if a gun or a knife gets pulled, it's suddenly a real dangerous situation. I'd rather get shot or stabbed than get thrown through a brick wall. I might survive the first two.

I think it's funny how they assume a normal human could survive not just one punch from him but dozens.
Doc Ock is a normal human with metal arms.
Spidey usually has to avoid those arms, jump in, punch him, jump out, avoid the arms some more, punch him again, jump back out.
One hit and Doc Ock's head would explode like a watermelon dropped from five stories up.
