Good luck to your son, I'm a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project but I have always found it easier to write checks from my air conditioned office.

Damn. Looks awesome. Good for your son, I'd die just thinking about doing something like that.

I have a co-worker who loves those. I'm more of a street racer, although last year I branched out into trail running and that's fun - but my delicate ankles don't handle the terrain so well.

Can't believe I missed this post. I'm going to the S.Amherst, Ohio event with a small team. Two of the guys did Indiana in November and absolutely loved it. It can be rough. One of the dudes on their team broke his ankle, and one of the others shit himself. The individual obstacles aren't so bad, but over a 12 mile stretch it can get ridiculous. Unfortunately, if the event has heavy participation, there can be huge bottlenecks at certain obstacles. This slow-down can take some of the challenge out of it because you have too much time to recover between obstacles. I'm excited.
