That is one of my dreams..to have my own windmill to produce the electricity we use.

Maybe someday.

Sounds like they have failed to invest in their power grid.

One thing that is often overlooked is that we can help the energy situation in two major ways, producing more and being more efficient with what we produce. Investments in both are needed.

This has been a hot topic for awhile.

OBAMA IS PAYING PEOPLE NOT TO USE WIND FARMS!!111

Reality posted:

The manager of most of the electricity in the Pacific Northwest is running such a surplus of power from hydroelectric dams that it put wind farms on notice Friday that they may be shut down as early as this weekend.

The Bonneville Power Administration has more than enough electricity during a cold, wet spring that has created a big surge in river flows where hydroelectric dams are located. ...

The financing of many wind farms relies on tax credits that are of benefit only if electricity is produced.

No good estimates were immediately available of what wind developers stand to lose. BPA projections earlier this year showed that curtailing wind power over a three-month period, in a worst-case scenario, could cost them as much as $50 million.

This may be your dumbest post ever. Congratulations!

I'm guessing nobody in the neighborhood really needs it. Maybe Cali, but their demand is probably relatively low until AC weather hits, I'd imagine.

And the Pacific Northwest's utility rates are still among the cheapest in the nation.
