I really like the first one, you can hear his Tool influences. I probably wouldn't post this unless I'd listen to it even if I didn't know him. Check out the first one and let me know what you think.

Don't like it to be honest. Too much deliberate raspy sounding distortion, just not into that style. Don't take it personal, I generally dislike most contemporary music because much of it tries too hard to think outside of the box.

It's cool dude, it's not for everyone. I'm a fan of that genre so it was a hit for me. I know there's some other fans of Tool on this board, so they'd probably like it as well.
Did you try the second song? It's a completely different genre, and might be more to your liking. I'm not sure what your tastes are though.
