i guess it is largely driven by advertisement revenue...
is there anything other than that?
how much do they pay per click these days?
here is my guess:
assuming you get $0.05 per click...
maybe 10 people per day click on a add from here...
that's $0.50 per day...
30 x $0.50 = $15 per month...
aw heck, might as well just close it down.

Contrary to popular belief they get paid for more than just ads people click on. With a company like IGN advertisers pay to get a spot in the ad rotation for a month at a time. The price is fixed for the month regardless of how many impressions there are or how many click-thrus.
