I do like me a good TD game.

Check both out. They suck up productive hours and turn them into waste, which is the whole point of the TD genre. These are of the newer generation where you fight alongside your defenses.

OMD: single-player only... better graphics... your hero is basically Bruce Campbell ... no loot/item system... lots and lots and lots of traps available... awesome animations... flinging orcs into the drink with your traps is teh winz
DD: 5 different classes, each with its own tower or trap system... most maps suck without other players... WoW graphics... Diablo-style loot system... multiple classes, but each class has only a few towers... illmyrin and I can assist!

You may want to check out Sanctum which mixes TD and FPS.

I looked into sanctum. It's a bit to much like defense grid. I also almost got Orcs Must Die around the same time I bought Dungeon Defender EXCEPT I watched a youtube video with the producers of OMD playing DD, loving it. So I didn't bother with OMD.

EDIT: Don't vote for Sanctorum.

EDIT:2 Hell yea noobs. Phlegm and I would stick your level 1 ass in between a bouncer blocker and a 6 million HP ogre.

Sanctum looked really awful.

Dungeons Defenders was way way more fun for me than Orcs Must Die which bored me inside of fifteen levels. They really ruined Dungeon Defenders with the over-priced and over-abundant DLC along with some of the lamer changes but it was a lot of fun for a while.

The best TD game is Kingdom Rush.

Nothing else comes close.

Didn't the same devs who did Age of Empires do Orcs Must Die? I loved AoE

This is true. I started to get into it about a month ago, and then became daunted by the ridiculous amount of DLC packages. They had one that was some sort of "President's Day" level or some bullshit? That just shouted "LAME RUN AWAY", and so I did.

I thought the overall graphics and humor of Orcs Must Die were much, much more entertaining overall.

I just picked up OMD on sale from Steam the other day. $4.99 for the game and all DLC. Still on sale until tomorrow. (base game for just $3.74)
