Wow, can't believe I missed this. It came out 2 years after Rocky and Sly was a MUCH better actor back then. Great story.

Dunno about Paradise Alley but if you want to see Stallone actually prove he has acting chops there is no finer film than Cop Land.

Yea he carried the movie Cop Land. I loved it. In Paradise Alley he's a streetwise dreamer with big plans of moving up town. A fast talker always looking for a score. Be it a dancing monkey or getting his brothers in trouble for a few bucks. His older brother is a wounded and broken spirited WW2 vet and his youngest brother is a huge muscle bound semi-slow in the headed guy who is not so bright..
