Since some copyright honcho said "Digital copy IS worth the same as physical copy" hundreds of people have been emailing him scanned up cash to help make up for the losses caused by piracy!

I believe it's against the law to photocopy US currency.
It was illegal many years ago to photocopy US currency, but that law was done away with. You can photocopy US currency, but it's illegal to pass it off as legal tender.
