What individuals wish to speak is up to them, but they will need to know English if they interact with government

I dont see why english should be the only language - it should be a required language (in public education) but it doesn't hurt anyone by allowing additional languages.
You'll miss out on some opportunities in your carreer and life if you can't communicate so learning english helps.

Forget Puerto Rico, it'd be nice to hear English in South Florida. 
Last time I went to the mall the salespeople automatically spoke to me in Spanish... even to my friend who's as white as can be and doesn't understand much Spanish at all. I get Spanish on the phone all the time, too. While I understand Spanish perfectly, I think they should make the effort to speak English unless they're helping someone who speaks limited English.
