I started working at 15. I held 2 jobs, on top of going to school full time. I worked a *lot*.

I worked with my father in his business before I was legal to work and then the moment I was legal to work I worked at a restaurant.

My father was a teacher, my mom a housewife. So, every summer I was hauling firewood my dad cut back to the truck since I was old enough to have a memory. I'm not going to say I walked uphill both ways to get to school but my folks did make us work around the house until noon every day my entire childhood. Weeding the garden, splitting wood, mowing, etc. (We had three acres.) I was mowing lawns for spending money at the age of 12 and pumping gas and stocking shelves when I was 13. Been working ever since.
