I got one thing to say to people running this Act. IF YOUR KID SLAUGHTERS A PERSON AND USES THE PERSONS SPLEEN AS A HAT, ITS NOT BECAUSE OF VIDEOGAMES BUT BECAUSE YOUR SWEET LIL CHILD IS A SICK F**K.

This whole "MY KID CANT BE A PSYCHOPATH SO IT MUST BE VIDEOGAMES!" nonsense is idiotic.

Video games are the new Rock & Roll, comic books, Heavy Metal, violent movies, rap, aka "evil thing corrupting our children's youth so we must blame that instead of poor parenting!" fad.

It's easier to blame a video game than the fact that the kid may have been troubled and needed some meaningful guidance and/or observation. Remember how they tried to blame video games on the Virginia Tech shooter, only to find out he only played Sonic the Hedgehog? Yeah, gathering all those rings must've made him pissed off at the world.

Hockey in North America is filled with intentional assaults against other players that result in severe and sometimes crippling injuries.

Millions of young males watch this drivel - do they all go out and riot and pillage and such and blame hockey?

Nope.

They blame video games.

Logically, this works well for REAL people like hockey team owners, etc.

This is just another prong in the argument that a parent isn't really responsible for their own child, its everyone else's fault. Its a full of shit argument but it makes the parents feel better about the abomination they produced.

Or they just want them labelled as a tool for parents so they can better decide what games they don't want their children to have. That's what i used it for anyway. If it said Rated M for Mature i took a longer look at what the content was before deciding whether it was appropriate.
