enriching people and gov'ts in direct opposition to the US is stupid. Enriching tyrants is inhumane. You saying anything about anything important is evil.

This. My beef with giving out aid to a country like North Korea is that said aid isn't likely to end up where its most needed. Unless you count the political elite and military as "needy", and not the people starving in those remote villages North Korea never shows anyone.

There are videos on Youtube where someone secretly filmed a market scene in North Korea, and people were selling the food that the US/UN sent, and one of the merchants beat up a homeless boy for trying to steal said food.

And no matter what we do, North Korea is still going to blame the US for their people's situation. While they are partly correct, of course they won't blame their poor leadership.

Can't grow enough food? Its the US's fault.

The US gave us aid but you didn't get any? It's the US's fault.

The government should not be using tax dollars to aid any foreign entities. All of that money is squandered and politicized.
