Backups from what I see reported. Nevertheless having a deep bench is one of the keys to success.
I was watching the Top 10 Comebacks the other day. Five of the ten were SF games. Two losses and three wins. Love to see them return to greatness.

Jacobs didn't have a productive 2011 which is probably why he wasn't offered a new contract. Plus all the drama he caused at the beginning of the season.
Was a good move by 49ers no doubt, Jacobs still has a few years left in him and he will help them in short yardage situations.

Jacobs is only a beast against defensive backs if you give him a hole that a truck can drive thru. Hitting the line, he's a pussy.

RBs only have a 3-4year life span with respect to top performance.
he should've been cut awhile back.
can't wait to see what friggin monster replaces him though.
draft day will be a celebration indeed! would be sweet to get a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
that said, he was a great Giant.
it is sad to see him go.

I loved Harbaugh when he was out here. And watching him and reading the interviews and locker room stories tells you that over coaching can be as detrimental to a players performance as under coaching. I bet he realized it too, and that's why he's a coach that connects with his players.
Wish we had him back as coach.
