No responsible shooter or hunter does so while drinking or after having drunk alcohol.

As for hunters - responsible hunting is as important to the ecosystem as any other factor. The plain truth is that not everyone wants to live on top of each other in a city and as human population spreads, ranching and livestock presence increases, wildlife habitat shrinks, and predators grow more scarce (wolves, coyotes, mountain lions, etc.). Without the culling effect of hunting, many species of wildlife would starve or would encroach on human settled areas and you'd have even more property damage as a result. Think it through.

I've got the airsoft out to practice defensive pistol while drunk. And I've shot a bit (just square range) with my carry piece as well, to see how much it changed my accuracy (a lot).

I'm not always sober, so I figured I'd better know how much it impairs my performance.

That is painfully true. The one thing that might counter it is that Nugent continues to be very very political. Causes, candidates, proposals.. The guy is doing it right.
