There have been a bunch of college basketball teams as good as Kentucky this year

but there's never been a team this good this young.
Their top 5 players in terms of minutes are 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores.

The Fab Five didn't win the NCAA title tho.
But like the Fab Five the crop at Kentucky will have their school on probation in no time!

UCLA freshman team, 1965
Kenny Heitz, Lynn Shackleford, Lucius Allen, Lew Alcindor.
Freshmen were not allowed to play varsity back then, but that team went on to a 88-2 record and win 3 titles in a row and when they were all freshmen defeated the previous years national championship UCLA team by 15.

True enough. They went to the title game 2 years in a row but lost both. Then they started going pro. 4 of the 5 making the NBA. Not a bad bunch of talent.
