D-link GamerLounge, been a champ for years. No power. Probably just needs a new wall wart, but I can't find a 5v one in the house.
We had a cheap $9 Belkin one that we were just using for the wireless (in switch mode) for visitors. Had to plug the wired computers into it. Nevermind the lack of Gigabit, which is annoying, the whole router is pathetic. DNS lookups take a couple seconds, and if you start a .torrent and connect more than about 20 peers the whole thing just grinds to a halt. The D-Link could handle 1000 connections easily.
So I guess I shop for a new one. Might as well look for one that runs WRT too.

Why not first try a new wall wart? Just get a replacement wart with selectable voltage/amperage. Even if it doesn't save your router having one of those around comes in mighty handy.

Well, I need to bring my voltmeter home from work and check this one. If it's the wart, I'll get one (or make one, I've got some 5v phone chargers around here somewhere).

"Wall wart"=Nerd?
Who the hell calls it a "transformer", other than when shopping for one. I've known it as a wall wart since I was a small boy (in other words, the early 1970s). My grandfather called them the same thing, and he grew up without electricity and served in WW1.
