Healing sucks

The healing skill is the most underperforming skill in the game.
Due to the antiquated formula, this skill is only effective when you have lots of health left!
Healing is completely trivialized by meats and other healing foods, ironically making Cooking more effective at healing than Healing itself.
Also, it gives mages a huge and sinister advantage in Stamina to Health.
Healing sucks. Discuss.

What would solve this is if we were all able to find the rare unlimited use healing kits. I love being able to heal from 50 hp!!
I second that healing sucks when you can chug chug chug!!
