I keep my account open on a monthly basis (i.e., I sign up for 1 month with my credit card, then immediately close the account, and do this each month). This month, after I typed in all the required fields, the last confirmation step results in a "Error Processing Request" error with no specifics.

Anyone else getting this?

As a workaround, I went to http://eastore.ea.com, bought a 1 month "Time Code" and used that. Only took a few more minutes, but it worked; I was able to activate my account via http://accounts.eamythic.com
