I've never experienced these cause they've never worked in the time I've played ToA (or so I was told)
how do they work in terms of damage?
Is it a debuff & direct damage or does it just debuff?
Also does it proc an ablative like the other weapons?
Presumably I could plink assassins with a heat bow and it'll debuff/dd them providing me with some quite nice dps?
I raise the question cause I understand they're looking at fixing them...

Provided you don't overwrite them by choosing a slash/crush/thrust arrow or a heat cold shot they do the same delve damage but with the damage type of the weapon, heat/cold/spirit/matter etc
In all other respects they are the same as leggy weapons (resist debuff split and DD etc)
Heat bow is the best all round choice for 'lazy' archers for hunting other stealthers, bonus to all assassins, and neutral to archers
You can still find older bows on the market
